Testing, testing, 1,2, 3....

I switched over to Beta Blogger a few weeks ago and haven't been able to log in until now. I think it's working now!

What is Beta Blogger?

Carl,

Blogspot has upgraded the program for the blogs and is requesting bloggers to use the new "Beta" format. Usually "Beta" means that the new format is in a trial mode and is being tested for flaws. Once the weaknesses of the program have been discovered and fixed it will then be moved out of the "Beta" stage. Sometimes you can get free programs from companies that are in the "Beta" stage and they ask you to assist them by reporting any errors or problems that you find. My younger brother who created my web site (erikwait.com) at times gets Beta stage programs and he writes reviews for them. Usually Beta programs have no warranty and a "use at your own risk" agreement is required because the company does not want to be liable for any problems a non-perfected program may cause. So there can be some risk in downloading a free "beta" program to your computer. But since these blogs don't require us to download anything there should be no threat to our computers. But there is the potential that anything you post on the blog could get lost. I have been using the new format for my blog for some time (http://erikwait.blogspot.com) and so far I have not had any problems.

I don't like that you can't use color anymore. I like to type in color.
