Hi Emily!

We just made G G Goggles just like that...

Do you guys use all of the Veritas Press Curriculum, too?

We use the phonics museum and the Saxon math right now. I like the integration of art into the curriculum because I grew up wiht zero exposure to it - public schools! My husband will do the Drawing with Children book with the kids since he's the artist in the family. We're doing our own Bible studies so far, but might get more involved with VP's in the next few years. I'm liking it so far, but it's just our first year, so only time will tell. What do you think? I'd love to know what other's experiences are!

Hi!

This is our first year as well--kindergarten. My children LOVE the Phonics Museum and Saxon Math. Most of the families at my church use Veritas Press. I have good friends who highly recommend Covenant Home (classical and reformed) curriculum for teaching Bible. I know what you mean about the art. I've learned more in the past nine weeks with VP's kindergarten art (the art primers are fabulous--like "Katie Meets the Impressionists") than I ever did in my public school.

Have you heard about Veritas's teacher training? They have a training conference each summer for homeschooling moms and school teachers.

I've heard of the training but I think it's in PA, which is too far away from this southern gal. I'd be interested to see how they teach the teachers though.
